Atlantic City has become a year-round
vacation destination along the lines of Las Vegas. Families,

time. Following is a sample of the activities, events and
attractions in and around Atlantic City.
Attractions
The
Borgata is an exciting new Las Vegas style casino, convenient
to Flagship resorts. Enjoy world-class restaurants, entertainment
and shopping.
The
Quarter is a brand new attraction with an Old Havana feel;
experience world-class restaurants, non-stop entertainment,
and a dazzling array of shops and experiences.
Showboat,
featuring House of Blues The Mardi Gras Casino is the
place to stop in for Louisiana and Cajun-style dishes. Catch
the industry's biggest acts at the House of Blues, where upcoming
entertainers include Jefferson Starship and George Clinton
& Parliament-Funkadelic.
The
Forum Shops Connected to Caesars by a skybridge, The Forum
Shops recently opened just a few minutes from The Royal Suites,
with the latest in shopping and entertainment.
Fine Dining
There is a range of restaurants in AC
- from local establishments that have been around for years,
to the well-known and popular brand names. These include The
Knife and Fork Inn, Carmines, Morton's, Rainforest Cafe, The
Palm, Ruth's Chris Steak House, PF Chang's, and more.

Golf Courses:
Blue Heron Pines Golf Club - a daily fee golf club comprised
of two championship, 18-hole courses.
Twisted Dune - Constructed in the tradition of Royal Lytham,
St. Anne’s Old Links and other famous seaside courses in the
British Isles, Twisted Dune is a first class course even though
it’s not on the ocean. It’s a taste of Scotland in Atlantic
City!
Shopping:
The Walk
Connecting the Atlantic City Convention Center to the Boardwalk
Casinos along Michigan Avenue, The Walk features outlet shopping
for name brand fashions at discount prices. Apparel, accessories,
shoes, and more can be found at over 50 stores, including
Calvin Klein, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and Liz Claiborne.
Children's fashions are also available at Osh Kosh and the
Gap Outlet. Mikasa takes care of home decor, while Borders
offers books and music. Enjoy a break at one of The Walk's
restaurants, such as Ruth's Chris Steak House, or stop by
the 40/40 Club, a 15,000-sq ft. sports bar and lounge.
Family-Friendly Attractions:
Storybook Land
This 20-acre theme park is literally a walk through classic
children's literature. Timeless stories and nursery rhymes
are brought to life through more than 50 attractions and family
rides. Located 10 miles west of Atlantic City.

Ocean Life Center Aquarium
The Atlantic City Aquarium offers a fun and educational look
into more than 100 varieties of fish and marine animals. The
Atlantic City Aquarium's eight tanks total 29,800 gallons
of live exhibits. Highlights include the Fish of the New Jersey
Coast Aquarium, which holds 23,000 gallons...
Absecon Lighthouse
This 171-foot-tall lighthouse is New Jersey's tallest, and
it still uses its original First-Order Fresnel lens. The view
from the top is so spectacular, you'll forget about the 228
steps it took to get there.

Lucy The Elephant
This huge 90-ton National Historic Landmark was built in the
early 1880s in hopes of attracting buyers to real estate mogul
James Lafferty's choice beach property. Woodrow Wilson and
Henry Ford were among the many visitors who came to see this
remarkable elephant, and Lucy still draws 'em in today. Tour
the interior and enjoy the view from atop her back. Disrepair
forced her into retirement during the early 1960s, but she's
back on the job thanks to ongoing renovations that began during
the 1970s.
